He knew that by becoming an ENT (Oto-rhino-laryngologist and Head and Neck surgeon) he would be able to develop this branch of knowledge.
Dr. Chacra had the vision of combining the knowledge and skill of both Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery with his ENT expertise.
By virtue of extensive studies (at home and abroad), as well as significant time spent collaborating with other surgeons from Montreal and around the world, Dr. Chacra developed what can only be recognized as highly unique prowess and proficiency in his field.
These competencies were developed not only through continuing education and partnership with other specialists, but also through years of presenting at conferences, as well as performing thousands of Consultations and Rhinoplasty Surgeries.
Dr. Zahi Abou Chacra graduated from McGill University School of Medicine and University of Montreal in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery. He was awarded the H.S. Birkett Memorial Prize from McGill University for outstanding achievement. He then traveled to Houston, Texas for further training in Rhinoplasty and Facial Plastic Surgery.
He is double board certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, as well as the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He is also an Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery at the University of Montreal.

Dr. Chacra’s special interests are Aesthetic and Functional Rhinoplasty, as well as Revision Rhinoplasty. He considers Rhinoplasty to be an art. A passion of his is perfecting and further developing surgical techniques which allow for easier, pain-free recovery for his patients.
